Honda has revealed the latest special edition of its Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP in tribute to Isle of Man TT legend John McGuinness.

Called the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP JM 30th Anniversary, just 15 of the limited run sportbikes will be produced.

The model pays homage to McGuinness’ 30 years competing at the TT, during which he has collected 23 victories, the majority of which were achieved on Honda machinery.

To celebrate the benchmark, ‘McPint’ – as he is affectionately known - competed in the Superbike TT and Senior TT at this year’s event aboard a Fireblade decked out in a livery that draws inspiration from the bike McGuinness competed upon during his inaugural 1996 TT appearance.

It’s that livery which forms the basis for this special edition, complete with retro decals and #1 green plate on the nose.

Alongside the motorcycle, owners will also receive a McGuinness replica KYT helmet, which will be handed over in an exclusive meet-and-greet on the Isle of Man.

Owners can then choose to ride the full 37-mile Snaefell Mountain Course in convoy with the man himself.

Each John McGuinness 30th Anniversary Replica CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP also gets:

  • Full Race Replica Livery
  • Individually numbered headstock plaque
  • Honda Genuine Accessories - Tall Screen, Seat Cowl & HRC Oil Filler Cap
  • GB Racing Engine Cover Set
  • Evotech Radiator Guard, Brake Lever Guard and Paddock Stand Bobbins
  • Fitted with Metzeler Tyres with OE Tyres provided as spare
  • Only 15 to be sold, by invitation, with a retail price of £37,730
