Success for Volkswagen Polo at Auto Express Awards 2016
Volkswagen’s iconic Polo has proved itself once again after being crowned Britain’s best supermini by the highest selling car magazine in Britain, Auto Express.
For the second year in a row, the plucky Polo has come first in the running for the prestigious award, fending off competition from a wide range of manufacturers. Steve Fowler, the editor-in-chief at Auto Express, announced the victory of the Volkswagen Polo at the 2016 Auto Express Awards. He commented, “A 2015 facelift kept the Volkswagen Polo looking fresh and boosted its charm, and this year the German brand has added even more efficient engine options that see the supermini once again edge ahead of its rivals.”
Alison Jones, director of Volkswagen UK, welcomed the award, saying ““The Polo neatly typifies all the positives of the Volkswagen offering in the UK. It has a huge breadth of appeal thanks to a broad choice of models and engines, great styling and that class-leading quality for which Volkswagen is rightly renowned.”
