A 1.5-litre turbo engine, paired with dual motors and BYD’s 32.2kWh Blade Battery, gives the Shark that efficient hybrid travel capability without a load-carrying compromise.
The truck is equipped with the world’s first longitudinal EHS drive assembly, a groundbreaking innovation that enhances power delivery, driving precision and smooth handling, providing the Shark with superior adaptability across a range of terrains and the ability to handle demanding off-road and pickup applications.
Long-travel double-wishbone suspension stabilises the Shark around corners, and intelligent gravel, mud and sand terrain modes keep the vehicle stable and ready for any challenge you throw at it.
With 55.9 miles of all-electric range, the Shark can cover commutes without touching a drop of petrol – and with vehicle-to-load capabilities, you have electric power ready to use for any devices, wherever you end up.
As for the bed, you are offered up to 1,200 litres of total cargo volume, with a maximum payload capacity of 790kg. Helpfully, the Shark can also tow up to 2500kg.
Under the Shark’s handsome looks is a high-performance off-road chassis and high-strength steel underbody protection plate, ensuring maximum safety for those inside, as well as a long-lasting, resilient workhorse.
While rugged and confident on the outside, the interior is set up for maximum comfort – heated and ventilated front sports seats, soft-touch materials and a 15.6-inch touchscreen, compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, make the Shark’s cabin a welcoming place to spend time, whether on the way to a job site or a camping trip.
The Shark has seating for five in its double-cab layout, and with a fully flat floor, there’s plenty of leg and headroom for everyone, giving passengers an environment more akin to a full-sized family SUV than a regular pickup.
For the driver, the cockpit has been designed with ease of use in mind, with all controls easy to access and adjust, even while wearing gloves.
