Vertu Motors appoints new head of fleet for Mercedes-Benz
Damien has more than 18 years’ experience working in the fleet industry, with 12 specifically in the leasing market. Prior to joining the Group, Damien held a number of senior positions across six years at Mercedes-Benz UK and most recently, strategic business manager at Arval.
Damien brings extensive experience in building strategies and managing budgets that deliver profitable growth from fleet sales to his new position. As head of fleet he is focused on strengthening the divisions fleet team, developing current and new customer relationships and delivering the best customer experience, establishing Vertu as the preferred choice for Mercedes-Benz in the fleet market.
Vertu Motors recently acquired Hughes Group, which has Mercedes-Benz outlets in Beaconsfield and Aylesbury. Hughes Group has a dedicated fleet and business team, which has been supplying vehicles to the fleet and business market for 23 years. In his new role, Damien will work closely with Clare Maher, group corporate sales manager at Hughes Group, who has more than 20 years’ experience working in the automotive fleet sector.
Damien, who is based at Mercedes Benz in Slough, said: “Vertu Motors is a very forward-thinking business and this is demonstrated at every level, within every area of the company.
