A 15.4-inch HD touchscreen sits at the centre stack, running Geely's Flyme Auto infotainment system with 4G connectivity, an in-car app store, and over-the-air (OTA) software updates. Ahead of the driver you have the 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, while the Max trim adds a windshield head-up display for a genuinely connected feel. Apple CarPlay is standard across all trims; Android Auto support is arriving soon.

EX5 Geely electric cars are equipped with front seats that are power-adjustable across all trims and heated as standard, befitting the cooler UK temperatures. The Max also brings 256-colour ambient lighting, a 16-speaker Flyme Sound premium audio system with headrest speakers, and a panoramic glass sunroof - details that lift the atmosphere well beyond the entry price.

Drawing on ancient Chinese architectural influences, the Geely EX5 presents surfaces that are sinuously sculpted - purposeful rather than decorative.
The EX5 has earned its design credentials formally: it holds a Red Dot Design Award, an IDA Gold Award, and a MUSE Platinum Award - recognition that its clean, restrained aesthetic represents a deliberate choice, not a compromise.
The full-width rear LED light bar anchors the rear profile, while flush door handles, active grille shutters, and a sculpted bonnet line give the exterior an engineering logic that optimises aerodynamic performance at speed, alongside visual coherence. It is a quietly distinctive car - the kind that reveals more the longer you look at it.
The SE rides on 18-inch Giti alloy wheels, while the Pro and Max get 19-inch low-drag Goodyear-shod alloys. The 10.8-metre turning circle keeps city manoeuvres manageable for a car of this length.
The Geely SUV's body colours run from Arctic White (standard) to eye-catching metallic options including Obsidian Black, Frost Grey, Moonlight Silver, and Jade Green. The Max Geely vehicle gains metallic paint as standard; it remains an option on SE and Pro.
Rain-sensing frameless wipers and heated, power-folding mirrors come as standard across all trims. On the Max, a power tailgate rounds off a modern SUV design that earns its keep.

Geely EX5 Engines and Performance
The Geely EX5 UK models are offered in a single fully electric vehicle configuration, producing zero tailpipe emissions whilst driving across all three trims.
Power comes from a single front-mounted 160kW motor paired with a 60.22kWh lithium iron phosphate battery. The Short Blade Battery is a Geely-developed technology - a flat-cell architecture similar in principle to BYD's Blade Battery - designed for faster charging, greater thermal stability, and improved pack efficiency.
Suspension tuning by Lotus Engineering gives the EX5 a composed, settled ride on British roads - a notable achievement for a new-to-market electric vehicle.
The WLTP range reaches up to 267 miles on the SE, dropping to 258 and 255 miles on the heavier Pro and Max. DC rapid charging at up to 120kW takes the battery from 30-80% in around 20 minutes, meaning you can carry on your longer journeys undisturbed.
AC charging via the onboard 11kW charger takes approximately six hours for a full charge. Meanwhile the three driving modes - Normal, Eco, and Sport - allow you to balance range and performance to adequately manage your journey.
V2L and V2V capability comes as standard across all Geely cars UK trims. The function allows you to power external devices or charge another electric vehicle directly from the EX5's battery, giving you peace of mind during those lengthy camping or exploration trips.
