New Peugeot Cars at Vertu

Every electric and plug-in hybrid Peugeot in this range comes with an 8-year, 100,000-mile battery warranty covering 70% capacity retention. Peugeot markets this as the first cover of its kind from a European manufacturer, and that confidence runs through a genuinely broad current range.

The line-up spans the compact 208 supermini through to the seven-seat 5008 and Traveller. Every model line offers an electrified option, from self-charging hybrid through to fully electric, and petrol or diesel choices remain available on selected models too. At the top of the Peugeot SUV range, the 408, 3008 and 5008 sit on the STLA Medium platform, badged 'BEV-by-Design'. Their electric versions are engineered around the battery pack from the outset, not adapted from a combustion design.

Inside, every model carries a version of Peugeot's i-Cockpit, built around a compact steering wheel and a driver display set above it rather than viewed through it. At Vertu, our colleagues can talk you through the full new Peugeot range and help you find the right car and powertrain for your budget and daily drive.

What Are Peugeot Cars Like to Drive?

Peugeot's UK car range covers five distinct groups, from the compact 208 through to the nine-seat Traveller, with a self-charging hybrid, plug-in hybrid or fully electric version available across most of them.

City & Hot Hatch

The 208 gives you the widest powertrain choice in the range, from a Turbo 100 petrol returning up to 56.8mpg, through two Hybrid outputs, to the fully electric E-208. Fitted with the larger 51kWh battery, the E-208 covers up to 273 miles WLTP and takes a rapid DC charge to 80% in around 30 minutes. At the top of the group sits the E-208 GTi, the first fully electric Peugeot GTi, with 281hp, a limited-slip differential and Alcon 355mm brakes carried over from Peugeot Sport. It takes 0-62mph in 5.5 seconds while still covering up to 239 miles WLTP.

Family Hatchback & Estate

The 308 and 308 SW share the same platform and the same powertrain choice, whichever body style you pick. Alongside the Hybrid and 1.5 BlueHDi diesel, the Plug-in Hybrid offers up to 59 miles of WLTP electric-only range. The fully electric E-308 covers up to 279 miles WLTP in Hatch form and up to 275 miles in the SW, and choosing it means you're covered by an 8-year, 100,000-mile battery warranty. The SW adds a 40/20/40 split-folding rear seat, roof rails and a hands-free power tailgate, useful if you're loading anything from a pushchair to flat-pack boxes on a regular basis.

Compact & Fastback SUVs

The 2008 keeps Peugeot's compact SUV simple: petrol, self-charging hybrid or the fully electric E-2008. Go electric and you get up to 271 miles WLTP from its 54kWh battery, with a rapid charge from 10 to 80% in around 30 minutes. The 408 sits above it with a fastback SUV silhouette and no petrol-only option, moving straight from Hybrid to Plug-in Hybrid or the fully electric E-408. The 408 Plug-in Hybrid delivers up to 52 miles of WLTP electric-only range for most commutes, while the E-408 extends to up to 280 miles WLTP on a full charge. Both the E-2008 and E-408 carry Peugeot's 8-year, 100,000-mile battery warranty.

Family SUVs

Peugeot's STLA Medium platform underpins both the 3008 and 5008, engineered from the outset as 'BEV-by-Design' rather than adapted from a combustion layout. Both carry the 21-inch HD Panoramic i-Cockpit as standard across every trim. Choose from self-charging Hybrid, Plug-in Hybrid with up to 55 miles of WLTP electric range, or three separate electric tiers. Electric and Long Range Electric cover up to 337 and 440 miles WLTP respectively, while Dual Motor Electric adds all-wheel drive, the only AWD option across the whole Peugeot car range. The 5008 adds a third row as standard on every version, seating seven with a 40/20/40 split in row two that slides and tilts forward for row-three access.

MPV

Both the Rifter and Traveller are electric-only in the current range, and both keep the twin sliding side doors that make loading children, shopping or bulky luggage easy in a tight parking space. The E-Rifter covers up to 199 miles WLTP from its 52kWh battery, with the Long body adding a removable, tiltable third row for up to seven seats. The E-Traveller steps up again with a 75kWh battery and up to 230 miles WLTP, seating up to nine in Combi form or offering a face-to-face lounge layout with removable VIP armchairs on Allure.

Peugeot Interior and Technology

Every current Peugeot is built around a version of the i-Cockpit, and the way it's implemented is one of the clearest ways to tell the range apart. On the 208, 2008, 308, Rifter and Traveller, that means a 10-inch touchscreen paired with Peugeot's compact, low-set steering wheel, so the driver display sits above the wheel rather than behind it. On the 408, 3008 and 5008, the same idea scales up into the Panoramic i-Cockpit, a 21-inch HD curved display spanning instrument cluster and touchscreen in one panel. It's standard across every trim on all three models.

Voice control runs through the range via 'OK PEUGEOT'. Higher trims add i-Connect Advanced, bringing TomTom live traffic and speed camera alerts alongside over-the-air software updates, so your navigation and software stay current without a dealership visit. Peugeot has also begun rolling out ChatGPT integration through the i-Cockpit on Connect Plus-equipped cars, so you can talk to the car in natural language while driving. The MyPEUGEOT app puts that connectivity on your phone, so you can schedule charging and pre-condition the cabin remotely on electric models. On the 2008, Rifter and models registered from July 2025, that comes with a 10-year free e-Remote Control and e-ROUTES subscription.

Driver assistance is consistent across the range too, built around Active Safety Brake and Lane Keeping Assist as standard. Adaptive Cruise Control is standard on the 308 and 408, and available from higher trims on the rest of the range. The 3008 and 5008's GT Premium adds Highway Assist 2.0 for longer motorway runs.
