Honda roaring to go at Carfest South

Following a successful show at Carfest North, Honda are preparing to wow the crowds at the upcoming Carfest South, which will take place at Laverstoke Park Farm, Hampshire over the August bank holiday weekend.

The Japanese automobile and motorcycle manufacturer will take a fleet of its two and four-wheeled vehicles along to the two day event, for which tickets have sold out.

The sporty Civic Type R will be joined by the Jazz hatchback, and the learner-legal CBF125 will sit next to the race inspired CBR1000RR. Pride of place on the Honda stand will go to the McLaren-Honda MP4-30 in a box, the model driven by F1 World Champions Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button.

Activities and entertainment will be put on by Honda, including 'My first license', which introduces five to eleven year old riders to the exciting world of motorcycling, and 'The ATV experience', which teaches older teens the basics of throttle control, overcoming obstacles and balance on Honda's TRX 420.

For adults, the 'King of the Hell' Xbox roadshow will feature at the festival, challenging festival-goers to set the fastest time around the notorious Nrburgring Nordschleife in a state-of-the-art simulator for the chance to win a brand new Civic Type R for a year.

Philip Crossman, Managing Director at Honda UK, commented of the festival: "CarFest South is fantastic fun for all the family and jam-packed with exciting and interactive things to do for people of all ages. The music line up looks fantastic as does the food offering, much of which is sourced from Laverstoke Park itself. We aren't quite sure of the weather yet, so will have both wellies and flipflops on standby!"
