Japanese manufacturer Honda may be planning an all-electric sports car, which would boast four motors.

The sporty car would sit just below the newly launched NSX in the line-up, insiders told Autocar. Similarly to the NSX, Honda's SH-AWD torque distribution system would feature in the sporty electric, but whilst the NSX boasts three motors one on each of the front wheels, and one to power both the back, the pure EV would boast four, individual motors on each wheel.

The 2016 NSX hybrid was revealed earlier this year, boasting a V6, 3493cc, twin-turbo, petrol engine alongside the 3 electric motors. Whilst the NSX produces a combined output of 573bhp, the EV would produce in the realms of 350bhp.
