Jaguar Type 01 Unwrap Continues as Interior Revealed

Jaguar has released the first images of the interior for the eagerly anticipated new Jaguar Type 01 electric GT car, unveiling an ultra-modern design that vows to set a new standard for automotive luxury.

Described as a ‘concept-car vision brought to production’ by Jaguar, the no-compromise approach is demonstrated by the clean, minimalist finish and high-end materials.

The cabin is dominated by a central spine that runs the length of the interior and creates four individual spaces to accentuate a cossetting feeling, while the imagery reveals a full-length panoramic glass roof.

For the driver, a low-set seating position encases around them through a mix of fuss-free design and quality materials. While further details will be revealed nearer the time, the imagery suggests controls are housed between the tactile steering wheel yoke and a slender central panel that contains entertainment, seating and climate switches.

Eschewing the recent trend for large screens that stretch the length of the fascia, the Type 01 limits the screentime to directly in front of the driver.

A digital ClearSight Rear View Display is positioned centrally at the base of the windscreen, unusually at the same height as the door mirrors so as to help the driver focus.

Jaguar describes the interior as being a ‘sensory experience’ featuring the ‘enduring beauty of travertine stone’ alongside rich textures and textiles.

Meanwhile, the iconic Jaguar leaper is present in various spots in a nod to the marque’s heritage following a rebrand that has led to the introduction of a new logo.
