Me And My Club: Jordan Sergeant

Our latest Me And My Club feature looks at the partnership with Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club.

Jordan Sergeant, Accounts Assistant at Nottingham Renault, is the colleague sharing his story...

How long have you supported Nottinghamshire?

Since I started playing cricket at the age of 10

Why do you support Nottinghamshire?

It’s my local team and I played for them as a teenager. Friends from my cricket club also supported them

When was your first game?

I first watched Notts Outlaws in the Vitality Blast on a Friday night in around 2011

What is your most memorable moment?

Getting signatures off the Nottinghamshire players who inspired me

What was your worst moment?

Getting relegated from Division 1 of the County Championship in 2016

Who is your favourite player to have pulled on the shirt?

Alex Hales

Who is the player, or which is the match, you wish you’d been able to see in person?

Finals Day in 2020 when we won the T20 blast at Edgbaston

What is the best thing about supporting Nottinghamshire?

You always get a good crowd at Trent Bridge creating a good atmosphere

Which rivalry do you enjoy the most?

Birmingham Bears in the T20 Blast

If you could only ever win one more competition, what would it be and why?

T20 Blast because it’s a bigger and harder tournament to win compared to the others, and there’s bigger crowds to make the tournament more special

How proud do you feel to have professional links to the team via Vertu Motors?

Incredibly proud as my work sponsors a sport I’ve played my whole life, which has never happened to me before. It’s even better that it’s the club I’ve supported from a very young age.
