Performance
When driving a new BMW M5 CS, expect sheer, raw power.
Searingly fast yet eminently usable, the BMW M5 CS is the ultimate incarnation of the BMW M5. It's the first time there has been a special edition of the iconic model.
The all-new M5 CS combines the kind of performance you might expect of a supercar. Flying from 0-62mph in an incredible 3.0 seconds, the M5 CS is also electronically limited to a top speed of 189mph.
Born to thrive on both road and racetrack, the new M5 CS houses BMW's incredible M xDrive with an active M differential and an 8-speed M Steptronic Sport Automatic transmission. That means you'll be able to handle more, powerfully and confidently.
The all-new M5 CS is a luxury saloon, at home on the road as it is on the racetrack.
Engine
With this limited-edition BMW M5, power is provided by a 4.4-litre V8 engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology that develops 635hp. This is 10hp more than in the BMW M5 Competition.
The M5 CS is made even more ready for the racetrack by its lightweight design, bespoke chassis tuning and the M xDrive system, with its centralised intelligent control approach for the Active M Differential.
Even its high-revving - from the the eight-cylinder unit and strong power delivery - are derived from motorsport.
The M5 CS's engine's characteristics can also be altered at the touch of a button. Choose from the basic EFFICIENT mode to SPORT and SPORT+.
Both SPORT and SPORT+ modes further quicken the engine's response to accelerator movements. Are you ready to push the medal?

Design
The BMW M5 CS builds on the established presence of the BMW M3 CS, BMW M4 CS and BMW M2 CS.
As the flagship model in the range, the BMW M5 CS represents the highest rung of the BMW M ladder and sets new standards, combining standout performance attributes with an exclusive and luxurious appearance.
The new M5 CS features a seven-millimetre drop in ride-height plus shock absorbers developed for the BMW M8 Gran Coupe. In addition to bringing added comfort to the driving experience, these dampers also reduce fluctuation in wheel loads, greatly improving on-the-limit handling.
From nose to tailpipes, the M5 CS boasts powerful and confident presence. Head-on, it's hard to miss the newly redesigned M kidney grille with a single-piece frame finished in high-gloss black.
From the back, the new M5 CS sports darker three-dimensional rear lights, and a powerful rear apron with larger air diffuser and with two twin tailpipes, typical of M vehicles.
You'll feel the M5 CS's command of the road, as soon as you step into the driver's seat.
Priced at around £140,780 OTR, the first deliveries of the new M5 CS are expected later this spring.
