Whether your lease is due for renewal, or you're thinking about joining the Motability Scheme, 2026 is bringing a fresh wave of new cars worth a closer look.
Established names like Nissan, Kia and Ford are joined now by newcomers Geely and Leapmotor, widening the choice of electric Motability Scheme cars in particular.
Keep reading to see what's new on the Motability Scheme in 2026.
The New Nissan Leaf
The car that helped make electric vehicles mainstream is back, and it's had a full reinvention. The third-generation Nissan Leaf swaps its familiar hatchback shape for a sleek family SUV, and it's built right here in the UK at Nissan's Sunderland plant.
Two batteries are offered. The 52kWh version covers up to 271 miles and the 75kWh version reaches up to 386 miles, both on the WLTP cycle. The larger battery rapid-charges at up to 150kW, adding around 273 miles of range in 30 minutes, and comes with Vehicle-to-Load so you can power devices straight from the car. Inside, you'll find dual 14.3-inch displays with Google built in and up to 437 litres of boot space.

Kia PV5
For customers who need genuine space and easy access, the Kia PV5 is one of the most interesting arrivals of the year. It's a purpose-built electric MPV from Kia's PBV line, and its dual sliding doors and 399mm low step-in make getting in and out simpler for everyone.
The PV5 Passenger comes with a 51.5kWh standard-range or 71.2kWh long-range battery, with the long-range model covering up to 256 miles (WLTP) and charging from 10% to 80% in around 30 minutes. There's a generous 1,330 litres of boot space behind the five seats, rising to 3,615 litres with the second row folded, and it's backed by an eight-year, 100,000-mile battery warranty.

Ford Puma Gen-E
The Puma has been one of the UK's best-loved compact SUVs for years, and now there's a fully electric version to join the Scheme. The Ford Puma Gen-E keeps the agile character owners know while adding zero tailpipe emissions to everyday driving.
It offers up to 259 miles of range on a full charge (WLTP), and rapid charging at up to 100kW helps top it up quickly on the go. A 165bhp motor keeps it lively around town, while a 12-inch touchscreen and available Ford BlueCruise assisted driving bring the cabin up to date.

Geely EX5
Geely is one of the fresh faces on the Scheme this year, and the EX5 is the brand's first UK model. It's a spacious compact electric SUV, with a 461-litre boot and 33 storage compartments dotted around the cabin.
The EX5 SE covers up to 267 miles (WLTP), with 160kW rapid charging taking it from 30% to 80% in as little as 20 minutes, while the Ultra stretches range to up to 280 miles. Technology is generous too, with a 15.4-inch touchscreen, a 13.8-inch head-up display and a 16-speaker, 1,000W audio system, and there's reassurance in an eight-year, 125,000-mile battery warranty.

Leapmotor B10
Rounding out the new arrivals is the Leapmotor B10, another brand making its Motability Scheme debut in 2026. This family-sized electric SUV takes an ‘everything as standard’ approach, so a single well-equipped specification includes a panoramic roof, plus heated and ventilated seats.
Its 67.1kWh battery delivers up to 270 miles (WLTP) from a 218hp motor, and rapid charging tops it up from 30% to 80% in 20 minutes at up to 168kW. Vehicle-to-Load capability means it can run larger devices on the go, handy for days out and family life.
