Small in size, big in personality – the new Nissan PIXO has been revealed, with a distinctive design and cutting-edge technology.
The Nissan PIXO will be the third EV spun off from the same platform that underpins the already acclaimed Renault Twingo and Dacia Spring. Designed for the towns and cities of Europe specifically, the PIXO is capable of up to 161 miles of WLTP range and fast charging, with a 27.5kWh battery recovering 15-80% charge in approximately 28 minutes.
The PIXO brings forward a fresh interpretation of Nissan’s EV design language, with cube-inspired proportions and a cute, “robot face” bumper expression, giving the car an instantly recognisable character – one that is further accentuated by the contemporary colour palette, including “Wonder Purple” and “Gear Blue.”
The PIXO is designed to balance comfort and practicality with a compact footprint – 3,796mm long and 1,790mm wide – perfect for navigating tight city streets, bustling city centres and packed-in parking spaces. Despite its dinky stature, the PIXO offers 18 litres of in-cabin storage and a best-in-class boot capacity of 356 litres, increasing to an impressive 1,221 litres with the rear seats folded.
Google Gemini supports navigation, entertainment and communication through natural voice interaction in the PIXO – conversation history allows Gemini to learn driver preferences over time, creating a personalised in-car experience, along with a 7-inch driver’s display and 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Nissan believes the new PIXO perfectly demonstrates their vision, with Clíodhna Lyons (Region Vice President, Product, Brand & Marketing Strategy) stating, “The future of electric mobility isn’t about building bigger vehicles with more technology; it’s about building smarter vehicles that fit naturally into people’s lives.”
