During its press conference at the successful Frankfurt Motor Show, Honda Motor Europe announced that it will be targeting annual European sales of 200,000.

Highlighting the refreshed 2015 model line-up, which includes the all-new HR-V and Jazz, the hot hatch Civic Type R and updated Civic and CR-V, Philip Ross, Honda's Senior Vice President announced a significant investment in its UK manufacturing base as the means for Honda to work towards the aggressive growth target.

He commented: "We are confident that this range will satisfy and delight our existing customers, and bring in many more, as the breadth of our range and the quality of our product broadens the appeal of Honda to an ever wider audience."

At the conference, Ross spoke of the start of mass production of Honda's all-new hybrid supercar - the NSX - which features cutting edge technologies that embody Honda's daring spirit. He also confirmed the scheduled European launch of the 10th generation Civic from early 2017.

Honda's refreshed line-up means that the Japanese carmaker boasts one of the youngest product ranges in the industry.
