The current Land Rover Discovery range is powered exclusively by the Ingenium D350 - a 3.0-litre six-cylinder mild-hybrid diesel producing 350hp and 700Nm of torque. All models pair this with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and permanent all-wheel-drive configuration.

Fuel economy varies slightly by trim due to equipment weight and wheel fitment. The entry S achieves up to 34.8mpg (WLTP), while the Metropolitan Edition and Tempest Edition return up to 33.8-33.9mpg. CO₂ ranges from 213g/km (S) to 219g/km (Metropolitan/Tempest).

Note: second hand Land Rover Discovery models from 2017-2020 were also available with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ingenium diesel, a 2.0-litre petrol, and a 3.0-litre V6 diesel.
