At the technical core of the Sealion 7 is BYD's Blade Battery with cell-to-body (CTB) technology: the battery integrates directly into the vehicle's chassis structure, improving torsional rigidity, lowering the centre of gravity, and maximising cabin space.
The rear motor is a record-breaker ? reaching 23,000 rpm, it is the world's fastest mass-produced EV motor, producing 230kW and 380Nm of torque. The all-wheel drive electric SUV Design and Excellence variants add a second 160kW front motor via dual motor AWD for a combined 390kW ? and smooth acceleration to 62mph in just 4.5 seconds.
A standard heat pump system preserves driving range in colder months, while regenerative braking recovers energy on every journey.
