Honda's Adventure Roads series has made its biggest move yet. The story of the 2025
Rome to Istanbul expedition is now a feature-length documentary, available to stream on Apple TV and Amazon Prime - making it the first time Honda Motorcycles has taken its storytelling to major global streaming platforms.
What is Honda Adventure Roads?
Honda Adventure Roads is Honda's flagship customer riding event, designed to take riders on guided, professionally supported adventures through some of Europe's most dramatic landscapes. The programme exists to help riders push their boundaries safely, with expert tuition and world-class guidance built into every stage of the journey.
The 2025 edition brought together 30 riders of 19 different nationalities for a 2,500km route from Rome to Istanbul on CRF1100L Africa Twin motorcycles. The route wound through rapidly changing terrain - from the sun-drenched tarmac of the Italian coastline to
gravel trails and forest sections across Montenegro and Albania.
About the documentary
The 48-minute film goes beyond the miles. Rather than focusing on the technical challenge of the route, it captures the human side of the journey - the bonds that form when a diverse group of riders faces shared highs and lows together.
Riders from 19 countries set off as strangers. By Istanbul, the film shows them as something closer to family.
Adding real depth to the riding sequences, the documentary features HRC Dakar
Rally riders Adrien Van Beveren and Pablo Quintanilla, brand ambassador Kirian Mirabet, and motocross legend Dave Thorpe. Their presence on the ride, and in the film, reflects Honda's commitment to creating adventures that are professionally managed and genuinely inspiring.

What's next for Honda Adventure Roads in 2026?
The 2026 season brings a significant change. Honda has moved
from the Africa Twin to the more accessible Honda XL750 Transalp with Honda E-Clutch - a shift that opens Adventure Roads to a broader range of riders.
Two expeditions are planned. The first heads into the Pyrenees in June, followed by the high-altitude passes of the Alps in September. Both promise the same blend of professional guidance, real adventure, and the kind of riding that stays with you.

The Honda XL750 Transalp at Vertu Motorcycles
The Honda XL750 Transalp represents Honda's thinking on who adventure riding should be for. With Honda E-Clutch technology on board, it lowers the barrier to confident, capable riding without removing the reward. It's built for real roads and real riders.
Our colleagues at Vertu Honda dealerships are happy to walk you through what the Transalp has to offer. Book an appointment at your nearest Vertu Honda dealership to see it in person.
