Introducing The All-New 2020 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
After the announcement that the Geneva Motor Show was to be cancelled, Mercedes took to their own media platform, ‘Mercedes me media’, to reveal the all-new fifth-generation E-Class – coming to showrooms later this year.
The brand-new, slightly facelifted E-Class will gain a new engine and updated interior technology to rival any competitors on the market.
While the exterior has only met minor changes, Mercedes-Benz has extensively reworked the E-Class’s user technology to host a range of new driver assistance systems, ‘energising’ comfort seats and its latest infotainment touch-screens.
The E-Class now comes as standard with two 10.25 inch screens, for the MBUX infotainment and instrumentation, with 12.3 inch screens optional.
The newly revised engine line-up includes seven petrol and diesel plug-in hybrid variants across the saloon and estate, variously offering rear- and four-wheel drive.
Power from the more fuel-efficient PHEVs range from 154bhp to 362bhp for the petrol units and 158bhp to 326bhp for the diesels. Full details have yet to be released.
