The latest Motability Scheme price list is now live, covering applications made between Thursday 1st October and Thursday 31st December 2026. There are more than 670 cars to choose from this quarter, and over 60 of them come with no or low Advance Payment.
Some Advance Payments have risen since the last list, so it’s worth checking your shortlist again before you order. Below, we’ve picked out the standout cars at each price point and explained what’s changed for new leases this year.
What’s Changed on the Scheme This Year
Tax changes announced in the Autumn Budget now apply to most new leases ordered from Wednesday 1st July 2026. Advance Payments now include 20% VAT, and Insurance Premium Tax also applies.
The Scheme has adjusted its lease package for new orders placed on or after that date:
Mileage: a new three-year lease includes 30,000 miles, and a new five-year Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV) lease includes 50,000 miles. You can pay for extra miles if you need them.
Tyres: new three-year leases include six replacement tyres within fair use, rising to ten for a five-year WAV lease.
Driving abroad: you’ll need a VE103 certificate before taking your car outside the UK, and a £22 admin fee now applies.
If you already have a lease, nothing changes until you order your next vehicle. Customers who receive their allowance from Social Security Scotland now order under the same new terms, although orders placed before Tuesday 1st September 2026 keep the terms that applied when they ordered.

Motability Scheme Cars With No Advance Payment
With no Advance Payment, your lease is covered by some or all of your weekly mobility allowance, and there’s nothing to pay upfront. These nil Advance Payment cars are all available to order through Vertu this quarter.
Volkswagen T-Cross

The T-Cross is a compact SUV with a raised seat height, so getting in and out takes less effort than in a low hatchback. Its rear bench slides forwards and backwards, letting you trade rear legroom for extra boot space on bigger loads.

The Mazda 2 Hybrid uses a full hybrid system that switches between petrol and electric power by itself, so there’s nothing to plug in. Compact dimensions make it easy to park, and the automatic gearbox keeps stop-start town driving relaxed.
Kia Picanto

One of the smallest cars on the Scheme, the Picanto is a five-door city car suited to short journeys and tight parking spaces. The automatic version removes the clutch pedal, which helps if you find a manual gearbox tiring.

Citroen C3 (Electric)

The electric C3 gives you zero tailpipe emissions with nothing to pay upfront. Citroen has put the emphasis on ride comfort, and its slightly raised, SUV-inspired stance helps with getting in and out.

Beyond fuel or charging, the main extra costs to plan for are additional mileage and the VE103 fee if you travel abroad.
Who Can Join the Motability Scheme?
You can join the Scheme if you receive one of the following allowances:
The enhanced rate mobility component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
The higher rate mobility component of Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
Your award usually needs at least 12 months left to run. Parents and carers can also apply on behalf of a child aged three or over.
