Skoda has offered up a first glimpse at the production version of its incoming compact electric SUV, the Skoda Epiq.
The Czechia manufacturer revealed official sketches of the exterior and the interior as it begins the countdown towards its formal launch later this month.
The preview comes hot on the heels of the official unveiling for the Volkswagen ID. Polo and the CUPRA Raval, with which the Epiq shares the VW Group’s new MEB+ electric car platform.
Unlike those more conventional hatchbacks, however, the Epiq will be in the SUV style to slot beneath the Elroq, Enyaq and forthcoming Peaq in its jacked-up range.
Based on the sketches, the Epiq will stay true to a prototype the manufacturer revealed in September 2025.
It will gain an interpretation of Skoda’s new design language identified by a slender front grille and a slither of headlights that stretch up the bonnet and down the flanks.
Its suitably chunky proportions will also have the effect of maximising interior space with Skoda claiming a class-leading boot of 475-litres, which is larger than that found in the Elroq. You can expect a raft of ‘Simply Clever’ details too, such as an umbrella in the door housing, an ice scraper in the fuel filler cap and a multi-tier parcel shelf.
While we broadly know what to expect from the exterior design, the sketches do reveal a first look at the interior, which looks set to follow the familiar theme laid out by currently available Skodas.
A large central touchscreen sits on a shelf that juts out of the dashboard in a design that Skoda describes as ‘minimalist’, while the firm says it has been designed with sustainable materials.
The Skoda Epiq – which will be a direct rival to the Ford Puma Gen-E and Renault 4 E-Tech - will get its formal reveal on 19 May 2026 ahead of sales that will begin later this year.
