BMW i3 Prices Realigned With Government Grant Update

BMW has announced a pricing realignment for their incredibly popular BMW i3 and BMW i3s, to ensure that customers can continue to benefit from the UK Government Plug In Car Grant.

This comes as a reaction to the government’s latest update regarding the EV grant scheme for those wishing to make the switch. You learn more about this, here.

On the road pricing for the BMW i3 120Ah now starts at £33,805 and £34,805 for the sporty BMW i3s 120Ah. This means that they are then eligible for a government plug-in grant application.

BMW also wants to make clear that no changes have been made to the high levels of standard specification offered on either model.

The government’s grant will now offer up to £2,500 off the retail price of vehicles that have CO2 emissions of less than 50g/km and can travel at least 70 miles without any tailpipe emissions. Plus, their retail price must be £35,000 or less.

The all-electric BMW i3 delivers an all-electric range of up to 190 miles, and up to 150 miles for the BMW i3s.

With sales growing exponentially, the BMW i3 has been a hit since its UK market launch in 2013. There is now over 22,000 on our nation’s roads.

Globally, over 200,000 i3 models have been sold, making it the world’s most successful electric vehicle in the premium compact segment.

This knowhow has been incorporated into the fifth generation of BMW eDrive technology that makes its UK debut in the BMW iX3 from July 2021.
