The Kia EV4 family car is now available with a full Band 1 Electric Car Grant, reducing the price of selected trim levels by £3,750.
One of the newer entries in the Korean manufacturer’s growing electric ‘EV’ branded models, the EV4 was already one of four Kias – along with the EV2, EV3 and PV5 Passenger - that had qualified for a Band 2 discount of £1,500.
However, the government has now re-classified selected trims to earn them a more generous reduction in price.

The £3,3750 grant applies specifically to the Kia EV4 Air (Standard and Long Range) and Kia EV4 Motion (Long Range) trims. Each can be chosen with a hatchback or ‘fastback’ body style.
It means the Kia EV4 range now starts from £30,995 for the entry-level Air Standard Range, which offers 273-miles of range and 435/490-litres of boot space (hatchback/fastback).
The increased discount ensures the Kia EV4 makes for an enticing prospect as a family car alongside the Vauxhall Astra Electric and the Renault Megane E-Tech.
