If you've driven on a British road, you've undoubtedly seen a Vauxhall. From their classic Corsa to the eye-catching VX220 sports car, there's always been a model for everyone.
In 1857, Alexander Wilson, a Scottish marine engineer, founded Alex Wilson and Company, which built marine engines and pumps. After forty-two years and a couple of name changes, the company made its first car - a single-cylinder, five horsepower four-wheeler, with no reverse gear and a tiller for steering, costing a whopping £136. Shortly after, a steering wheel was added, along with a reverse gear.
Since then, the British company has manufactured millions of cars, a wide variety of commercial vehicles for Bedford, and has made it clear that the company is fully committed to electrification.
With every model now available as a fully electric option, alongside partnering with street charging operators to provide more on-street charging infrastructure, Vauxhall have been putting its money where its mouth is in the electrification race. If all this sounds good, there's a high chance your next Vauxhall is at Vertu.
Vauxhall Astra
If you’re on the hunt for a zero-emission family hatchback, the Vauxhall Astra could be your next car. The 2026 facelift has given it an improved battery, an adjusted grille and new rear lights as well as a price drop, sweetening the deal even more.
Sharp creases, a sleek silhouette and an overall no-nonsense appearance make the car a tempting choice for those who want something clean and smart.
Within the cabin, you are treated to large door bins and plenty of pockets, along with two 10-inch displays with the option of using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
Light steering makes adjustments and manoeuvres simple while around town or parking up at home, and instant power from the electric motor gets you out of junctions and away from lights smoothly.
Overall, the Astra is perfectly suited for both individuals and families, with numerous safety features to keep everyone inside safe and sound, such as autonomous emergency braking and a 360-degree camera.

A practical, fully electric, small MPV - the Vauxhall Combo Life makes the perfect companion for families who want plenty of space, dozens of handy storage areas and a whopping 597-litres of boot space.
The 2026 edition of the van has been given a much more aesthetically pleasing facelift, fitted with Vauxhall’s signature Vizor grille design, as well as restyled bumpers and slimmer, more modern headlights.
Vauxhall’s innovative Intelligrip system ensures stability on all kinds of terrain and adapts to low-grip conditions such as driving in mud, sand or snow, giving you and your passengers extra reassurance alongside other safety features like a rear-view camera and lane-keep assist.

Vauxhall Corsa
An undeniable classic, the Vauxhall Corsa is one of the most popular cars in Britain, so of course, Vauxhall had to produce an all-electric version - and a completely reasonably priced one at that.
Despite being a compact hatchback, the car offers more space than its competitors, and unlike some others, it does have rear doors, making picking up passengers a breeze. The pair of ISOFIX points means the Corsa is also well-suited to growing families.
Smooth electric motors and light steering make tighter streets a breeze, but also earn their keep on the motorway, getting you up to speed without hesitation.
The Corsa also retains physical controls for things like heating and air-con - unlike other EV rivals who leave all navigation to flat screens – making the jump from an older car to a new EV a lot easier for many.

Vauxhall Frontera
Interestingly, this is the first EV to cost the same as its petrol-powered equivalent, and with the UK Government’s Electric car grant, the entry-level Vauxhall Frontera is even cheaper than its ICE counterpart.
The Frontera is a practical, rugged, family-focused SUV that significantly undercuts its rivals, with a practical layout and no-frills design. Well suited for town driving, it has good grip, easy steering and copes well with uneven surfaces.
Rear seat space beats out the other similarly sized cars, and the 460-litres of boot space (increasing to 1,600 with the rear seats folded down) provides ample space for prams, suitcases or shopping.
Size-wise, the Frontera sits between the larger Grandland and smaller Mokka, sharing a similar footprint to the Astra but with increased space and boot size.

Vauxhall Grandland
The Vauxhall Grandland is an all-electric, premium SUV, boasting the highest range of the Vauxhall lineup.
The Ultimate trim treats you to high-end features such as a premium sound system, a 360-degree camera, heated steering wheel and seats, as well as a heat pump to ensure maximum battery efficiency during cold months.
The Grandland has a massive boot space of 550 litres and huge rear seat space that makes fitting bulky rear-facing child seats easy.
The Grandland’s seats are also certified by Aktion Gesunder Rucken, meaning they are proven to have better ergonomic support for your back, preventing pain and reducing fatigue on longer journeys.

Vauxhall Mokka
Far more handsome than the previous iterations, the all-electric Vauxhall Mokka is a dashingly styled SUV crossover that provides a higher ride height while still being at its best around town.
For those looking to make the switch from petrol to electric, the EV Mokka is almost identical to the petrol version, and like the other cars in Vauxhall’s lineup, it also retains those familiar physical controls for air con and heating.
The suspension in the Mokka prioritises softness, making it compliant over potholes and broken roads as well as making it a well-suited motorway cruiser.
There is also the Mokka GSE up for grabs, a rally-inspired edition with higher performance, sportier handling and the medal for fastest in Vauxhall’s range.

Vauxhall Vivaro Life
If you want an electric van with abundant space and seating for up to nine passengers, you’re in luck, because the Vauxhall Vivaro Life is exactly what you’re looking for
With various seating configurations for six, seven, eight or nine passengers, as well as the ability to remove and return the seats from the vehicle, adjust their position and spin them to face each other, the Vivaro Life is highly configurable for any use-case or occasion.
When getting your nine passengers in and out, the handy sliding doors make car park dings redundant, and with plenty of glass for great views (as well as the driver’s manoeuvring), they have nothing to complain about.
Behind the seats, you get a hefty boot, with almost 1,400-litres of cargo capacity even with the rear seats up, and around the cabin, there are plenty of cubbies, features and quirks to make the most of.
