Geely Auto UK has confirmed the Geely EX2 – the best-selling car in its native China – will be the next model to join the firm’s burgeoning UK line-up this summer.

The all-electric compact hatchback will join the Geely EX5 and Geely Starray EM-i family SUVs in Geely’s line-up from late August.

A rival for the MG4 Urban and Citroen e-C3, the EX2 arrives in the UK boasting status as the best-selling model in China, the world’s largest car market, according to data taken from the Chinese Passenger Car Association.

The manufacturer says it sold an extraordinary 450,000 units in China in 2025, with monthly peak volumes exceeding 50,000 units.

While more details – including price, specification and powertrains – will be confirmed nearer its official launch, Geely has released images of the UK version, revealing a curvy five-door design.

With its tall roofline and wheel-at-each-corner stance, the EX2 is likely to exhibit class-leading levels of interior room.

The EX2 represents the latest step in a major new model offensive Geely is promising over the next few years, with as many as ten launches pencilled in over the next three years.
