New Mazda Cars for Sale

The new Mazda range runs from the self-charging Mazda2 Hybrid, which never needs plugging in, right through to the seven-seat CX-80 and Mazda's first fully electric model, the Mazda6e. Every current model carries Mazda's six-year, 100,000-mile warranty, and if it's driving feel you're after, the manual, rear-wheel-drive MX-5 remains unfiltered in a way few sports cars still are. Whether you're after everyday hybrid efficiency, plug-in flexibility, or something purely electric, there's a Mazda built around how you actually drive.

New Mazda Cars at Vertu

Mazda's UK range spans a two-seat roadster, a seven-seat SUV and now a fully electric hatchback, engineered around a consistent set of principles rather than shared, badge-engineered underpinnings. At Vertu, our colleagues can talk you through the complete Mazda UK range today, from a hybrid supermini to the flagship CX-80, and help you find the right new Mazda for your budget and daily drive. Every current model is backed by Mazda's six-year, 100,000-mile warranty, introduced for cars registered from 1st September 2025 and a considerable step up from the three-year cover Mazda offered before then.

Crafted in Japan, Mazda's cars are engineered in Hiroshima, where the company has built vehicles since 1931. Two philosophies run through the range. Kodo: Soul of Motion, Mazda's design language, shapes every exterior panel, while Jinba Ittai describes the sense of unity between car and driver that Mazda builds into every model you drive. Skyactiv Technology is the engineering approach behind that feel, covering everything from lightweight body structures to some of the most efficient combustion engines Mazda has produced.

What Are Mazda Cars Like to Drive?

Mazda's UK line-up splits into three groups: cars built around driving feel, SUVs built around space and versatility, and the brand's first electric model.

Cars

Choose the Mazda2 Hybrid and you get a true self-charging hybrid, not simply a mild-hybrid assist. Its 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol engine pairs with a 59kW electric motor for a combined 116PS, so you'll reach 62mph in 9.7 seconds while returning up to 76.3mpg combined (WLTP). It's also the only model in the range with a stated five-star Euro NCAP rating.

The Mazda3 carries Kodo design into a family hatchback or saloon. You can choose the 140PS e-Skyactiv G engine, or step up to the 186PS e-Skyactiv X, which uses Mazda's Spark Controlled Compression Ignition technology to combine petrol-like responsiveness with diesel-like efficiency. The Saloon, shown in the source data with the 186PS e-Skyactiv X engine, returns up to 51.4mpg combined with a manual gearbox.

Want driving in its purest form? The MX-5 is the only model in the range without any form of hybrid assistance. Its 1.5-litre or 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engines drive the rear wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox only, and in 184PS form you'll reach 62mph in 6.5 seconds in Roadster guise. Try the folding soft-top Roadster or the power-retractable hardtop RF, depending on how much weather protection you want on demand.

SUVs

Mazda's SUV range grows from the compact CX-30 to the three-row CX-80, each built around i-Activ all-wheel drive where fitted and the same design language as the smaller cars.

The CX-30 sits between the Mazda3 and CX-5, and you can specify it with the 140PS e-Skyactiv G engine or the SPCCI-equipped 186PS e-Skyactiv X, the latter available with all-wheel drive on Takumi trim.

The all-new CX-5 introduces Google built-in to the range for the first time, alongside Mazda Co-Pilot Concept as standard. You get its 141PS mild-hybrid petrol engine with front- or all-wheel drive, the latter available on Exclusive-Line and Homura.

Step up to the CX-60 and you're in Mazda's most powerful production car to date. Choose the 327PS plug-in hybrid and you'll reach 62mph in 5.8 seconds, with up to 39.77 miles of electric-only range; the 254PS mild-hybrid diesel trades that for strong towing and long-range efficiency, both with standard all-wheel drive.

Need more seats? Go for the CX-80 and you get the same PHEV or diesel choice as the CX-60, with a cabin that stretches to a true seven seats, or six with optional Captain's Chairs, giving you Mazda's largest and most spacious SUV.

Electric

The Mazda6e is Mazda's first fully electric model for the UK, pairing a 258PS single motor with a 78kWh battery for up to 348 miles of WLTP combined range, or 436 miles in city driving. It arrives with independent recognition already behind it too, having won World Car Design of the Year 2026. DC rapid charging at up to 200kW takes the battery from 30 to 80 per cent in around 15 minutes. A 72-litre front storage compartment, sized for a charging cable with room to spare, sits ahead of a boot that measures 337 litres to the belt line (466 litres to the roof), extending to 1,074 litres with the rear seats folded.

Mazda's Powertrain Range

The table below shows how Mazda's five powertrain types differ, since the range covers everything from a naturally aspirated roadster to a fully electric hatchback.

Powertrain How It Works Best For
Self-Charging Hybrid (Mazda2 Hybrid) Never needs plugging in. A 59kW electric motor and 1.5-litre petrol engine share the work automatically, recharging the battery through braking alone. Buyers wanting hybrid efficiency without ever plugging in
Mild Hybrid Petrol & Diesel A 24V or 48V system assists the combustion engine for efficiency. The car does not drive on electric power alone. Fitted across the CX-5, CX-30, Mazda3, and the CX-60/CX-80 diesel. Drivers wanting Mazda's driving feel with day-to-day efficiency gains
Plug-in Hybrid (CX-60, CX-80) Adds a 17.8kWh battery, charged at home or at a public point, for up to 38 miles of electric-only driving on the CX-80 and up to 39.77 miles on the CX-60, before the petrol engine takes over. Commuters wanting electric-only short trips with petrol range for longer journeys
Battery Electric (Mazda6e) Runs on stored charge alone, with zero tailpipe emissions whilst driving and up to 348 miles of WLTP range. Drivers ready to go fully electric with home or public charging access
Petrol, No Hybrid (MX-5) A naturally aspirated 1.5-litre or 2.0-litre petrol engine drives the rear wheels directly through a manual gearbox, with no hybrid system at all. Drivers who want an unfiltered, traditional sports car experience

Mazda Interior and Technology

Screen sizes and standard equipment scale with the model, but every current Mazda shares the same design-led approach to the cabin.

Infotainment screens range from the Mazda2 Hybrid's 9-inch Mazda Connect display up to the CX-5's 15.6-inch touchscreen on Homura trim, with 10.25-inch, 12.3-inch, 12.9-inch, and 14.6-inch displays fitted across the models in between. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto feature widely, alongside the MyMazda App, which brings a seven-year complimentary period of connected services.

Google built-in is exclusive to the CX-5 in the current range, bringing Google Maps and the Google Play Store directly into the car's own operating system rather than mirroring a connected phone.

Driver assistance is comprehensive as standard across the board. Mazda's i-Activsense suite includes Mazda Radar Cruise Control, Smart Brake Support and Blind Spot Monitoring on most models, while the CX-5 introduces Mazda Co-Pilot Concept, adding features such as emergency lane keeping and turn-across-traffic detection.

Bose premium audio and ambient lighting appear from mid-range trim upward on several models, and the Mazda6e goes further still: its 72-litre front storage compartment and 14-speaker Sony audio system, complete with headrest speakers, are standard on both Takumi and Takumi Plus grades.
