Yorkshire County Cricket Club was established in 1863 and is one of the world's most successful cricket clubs, with a proud history and dedicated following.
With a rich heritage, it is the most successful English county team, having won numerous trophies and titles, and producing the most players for England.
The club also supports cricket at grassroots level, with over 850 teams across Yorkshire playing weekly throughout the summer months. The passion for cricket in Yorkshire is tremendous, and we're proud to be a part of it.
In a bid to tackle issues in their local community, The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation was formed in 2009 to work alongside the club with the aim of various initiatives to bring about positive local impact.
The partnership between Vertu Motors, YCCC and YCF will help to amplify the impact of the essential work carried out by the charity in the local community.
By harnessing the power of cricket, these initiatives will have a long-lasting and positive impact on the people of Yorkshire.
So far, we have provided:
A 17-seater minibus to help deliver numerous community programmes.
Support to The Yorkshire Cricket College, providing funding for qualifications, travel and kit for students facing financial issues.
Support for various 'Cricket in the Classroom' and 'Education Days' for local primary schools to inspire young cricketers.
The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation exists to provide sport-based education and community initiatives across the county of Yorkshire to improve the lives of local people.
The Foundation is dedicated to improving health and well-being, education, heritage and participation, helping people from as many groups as possible to lead healthier, happier lives with equal access and opportunities.
